Kids Workshops & Roving Entertainment Wrap Up

On Saturday 23 September, from 11am to 3pm, Sydney Road Brunswick provided fun for the young ones, with two free instore workshops and roaming entertainment!

Beauty Xtasy hosted a Henna Art workshop where participants were given a brief overview of henna, before selecting a unique stencil to create their own henna art! Children took home a care package with instructions and some henna to make more creations from home.

Petal Pop Flowers ran a posy making workshop where participants were guided on how to make a simple fresh flower posy in a small jar/vase which could be taken home to be enjoyed (and reused for future posies!)

As well as workshops, Sydney Road Brunswick arranged for roaming entertainment and an orchestra, taking place in and around Sparta Place!

Hayley Hoop La skated around with hoops spreading springtime joy, and then ran a few hula hooping workshops to entertain and engage with the general public.

Brunswick Old Time String Orchestra is a community music group of string players who have been playing music together for over ten years. They include guitars, fiddles, cellos, banjos and any other stringed instrumentalists that enjoy playing folk-based music, such as Old Time, Celtic, Australian folk and other good tunes. They played from 11am-2pm to a rotating audience on the edge of Sparta Place and Sydney Road Brunswick.

There was also some facepainting, which always goes over well with the little ones!
