June Bonanza! 25 June 2022

On Saturday 25 June from 10am, Sydney Road Brunswick came alive with a whole host of family fun and entertainment for our June Bonanza!
We created a full schedule for the day so that visitors could experience everything across the whole precinct, and not miss out on any of the fun!

We were lucky enough to have several roaming talent across the precinct with four roller skaters and local One Man Band, the talented and jazzy Uptown Brown. Winter warming tunes in the laneway next to Record Paradise, with an outdoor DJ and seating, accompanied by the living stone statue, Albert Stone. Free face painting and henna hand tattoo art, and African Drumming workshops. Plus we were there of course, selling our much loved t’shirts, tote bags and puzzle.

As part of our June Bonanza, SRBA installed two billboard posters on Sydney Road Brunswick that asked customers and locals what they love about our wonderful precinct.

Over the course of the day people stopped by and added their positive sentiments to the boards, with comments such as: “Everything you could want”, “The Arts”, “The Community”, “The People”, “Love The Diversity”, “QUEER!”, “Variety”, “Food! Coffee! Booze!”, “The Music Scene”, “Walkable + Rideable”, “Vibrant”, “Lurvly People”, “Equality, Acceptance, Love, Compassion, Community”, “Old & New”, “Beautiful People”, “Clothing & Style”, “The Architecture”… and so many more!

We thank everyone for their additions to the boards – it was very affirming to the precinct and businesses, to see so much positivity in one place.
