Cornwell’s Mitre 10 – a sad good-bye

The street is sad to see the closure of a family business that has been a legend in Brunswick- originally H. Cornwall & Son, then Mitre 10, has closed its doors after 80 years.

The business was still run by Ian Cornwall, whose family were celebrating 80 years in business last year. He knows the history behind our street and certainly observed the changes over the years. Ian should be very proud that with the many closures of small hardware stores in recent years,  Mitre 10 has survived. As a loyal shopper and supporter of small business, a big thank you to the team who serviced the locals and tradies for so many years, on Sydney Road Brunswick.
