Following the success of the Vintage Ball in 2022, Sydney Road Brunswick proudly announced the event’s evolution into the Brunswick Ball, an annual must-attend event with unique theming and entertainment each year!
The Brunswick Ball is your annual event where dressing to impress is a non-negotiable – it’s THE event of the season! Bringing the quaintness of a 20th century Ball and cementing it with only the best Brunswick vibes.
The 2023 Brunswick Ball featured an opening set by Callum’s Young & Old Codgers (a Brunswick staple serving up swing-style jazz; perfect for a debut on the dance floor), and headlined by Melbourne’s infamous Jazzparty (who combine New Orleans styled revelry with a punk attitude).
Your entertainment and enjoyment guaranteed, with the 2023 program including:
- Two bands! Headliner Jazzparty and opening band Callum’s Young & Old Codgers
- A special super-secret performance
- Sydney Road Brunswick goodie bags full of joy for everyone
- Giveaways announced on the night
- A photobooth to your heart’s content
- Roving canapés and a drink on arrival.
- A Catwalk Competition to show off your excellent outfit, with winning walkers gifted a prize!
Thursday night is the new Friday night, and Thursday 15 June was the night to follow your feet to the beats beckoning you from the Brunswick Ball.

Vintage Ball 2022
Set within the iconic Brunswick Ballroom, the Vintage Ball was a standout event. Attendees dressed to impress, and created quite the spectacle with some outfits born and bred from some of the best vintage, secondhand, and upcycled stores on Sydney Road Brunswick. We encouraged flowing gowns, top hats and tails, big jewels and all that glittered, and were not disappointed!
